Science and Engineering Entrepreneurship Advanced Course - Learning by doing
July 2013, 2014, 2015, Porto, Portugal. Organised by INESC-Porto & INEB
Many scientists lack proper training to realize the full potential of inventions in this demanding area. To address these shortcomings, the IB2 workshop will follow the model of a very successful weeklong hands-on workshop organized by INEB and other institutes, in which Prof. Erik Sander (Director of Industry Programs, University of Florida College of Engineering) was the main lecturer and coach. Topics to be covered: Introduction to entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial thought processes; Entrepreneurial idea generation and feasibility analysis; Entrepreneurial business development (market analysis, product development, marketing, operations, human resources, legal issues, accounting, capitalization, etc.); Business planning and execution.
Co-sponsored by FP7-PEOPLE-2012-ITN-EID IB2 - Industrial Biological Biomaterials Doctorate, a Marie Curie Initial Training Network
